Embark on a unique journey to Metzuki Dargot, a privately owned traveler’s settlement and village that beckons explorers to experience the charm of the Judean Desert. Located above Highway 90, overlooking the mesmerizing Dead Sea, this hidden gem sits at an elevation of 400 meters, offering an unparalleled view from the edge of the Cliff of the Copies. Let’s delve into the history, amenities, and captivating features that make Metzuki Dargot an ideal destination for travelers seeking an offbeat adventure.
Metsoke Dragot Village:
Metzuki Dargot’s origins trace back to the Nahal outpost of Kibbutz Mitzpe Shelem, which once stood in this very spot before relocating to its permanent location at the cliff’s base. Before 1967, a Jordanian border police station occupied the area, adding an intriguing layer of history to this enchanting destination. Today, the northern estuary of Nahal Darga is leased by Kibbutz Mitzpe Shelem to Metzuki Dargot (2005) Ltd., a private company that has transformed the site into a traveler’s haven.
Metzuki Dargot offers diverse lodging options within its traveler’s hostel, providing a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere for guests. Whether you prefer traditional accommodations, classrooms for learning and training, a lively bar, or engaging workshops, this village has it all. The site’s development by Metzuki Dargot (2005) Ltd. since 2005 has enhanced the overall experience for visitors, ensuring a perfect blend of comfort and adventure.
